TLS from Dorothy Day, elected to the Gallery of Living Catholic Authors in 1935, to Sister Mary Joseph informs SMJ that "Much as [Day is] complimented and overwhelmed by [SMJ's] invitation...[Day is] a journalist and would prefer not to have people think of [her] as an author." Refers to "trashy novels" Day wrote before becoming a Catholic. Includes 5 Typed form letters from "The Catholic Worker" telling about the work done by Day and others and asking for funds.
