3 ALS from Katherine Clemens, a non-Gallery member, mother of Cyril Clemens, to Sister Mary Joseph refer to Nan Shallcross Clemens' article on Nellie Custis and publications and proof pages she sent to the Gallery. Clemens comments "It is well that the U.S. is veering to Dewey. There may be a few good people who believe in Roosevelt...but it is sure that all the crooks and all the communists...will vote for him."
