4 Typed Letters Signed. Mr. Peter Monkhouse of the Guardian writes to Hugh Merrick mainly about the origins of the name "Towers of Paine" in South Patagonia; who was Paine? A letter to Merrick from the Assistant Librarian for the Royal Geographical Society notes a failure to discover who exactly was Paine. There is also a letter about a lost line by Merrick in an issue of the "M.G. Weekly."
