If Merrick is unavailable for the Rebuffat lecture (a sell-out), would he be available to chair another? [Eric Shipton on November 21; R. E. Langford on January 23; or Dorothea Gravina on February 13] A previous letter (dated 09/03/1962) from Miss Marian Taylor (for Mrs. Fair) refers to Merrick's request for tickets to the Rebuffat lecture.
