Container Summary
5 Typed Letters Signed. D. Fred O. Dangar writes to Hugh Merrick about translations of a G. O. Dyhrenfurth article for The Alpine Journal. In letter 02/02/1963, one particular section is difficult for Dangar: Dyhrenfurth wishes to strike two lines from the text, regarding the upward gradient of Inrasan. In letter 4/01/1963, Dangar hopes that the Dyhrenfurth article can be published in the May number of the Alpine Journal; mentions David Cox, editor of AJ. Dangar sends Merrick a copy of a letter to Dyhrenfurth (04/03/1963), hoping Dyhrenfurth will not continue to send so many corrections and hinting about delays and costs incurred. He briefly mentions the Himalayan Journal, as they charge authors "if corrections become too heavy."
