Physical Description
Fragment of a Demotic Business document on papyrus, Egypt, ca. 600 BCE Demotic writing is a simplified form of the ancient Egyptian Hieratic writing. This written form of an Egyptian language, Demotic, immediately preceded Coptic. 65 x 40 mm. The documents in Box 1 Folder 1 (Demotic Business Document) and Box 1 Folder 2 (Egyptian Linen Fragment) are contained in Box 1 Folder 1.
