Container Summary
Clippings, photocopies, photographs, correspondence and documents concerning Warnke's service as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs. Of particular interest are three presidential letters accepting his resignation from that office, two from President Johnson and one from President Nixon. Also two notes from incoming Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird referring to his trip to Vietnam. Warnke accompanied Laird on this trip and there are several photographs showing them with Amb Bunker, Gen Abrams and other notables.
