Correspondence with Senators Leahy, Mathias, Nunn, Proxmire and Wirth. Leahy writes (TLS) on behalf of two resolutions on SALT issues. On the second he cosponsors with Chafee, Bumpers and Heinz. Mathias (TLS) sends a copy of his "Towards a New American Foreign Policy." Of three exchanges with Nunn, the most interesting is a long letter (TLS) in which he asks for Warnke's memory on the definition of a "weapons-delivery vehicle" as defined in SALT I. Warnke consults Michael Krepon his "verification czar" to answer a Proxmire (TLS) question. Wirth sends (TLS) an op-ed. Candidate Mark Green (ALS) received a contribution from John Kenneth Galbraith (TLS) via Warnke.
