Container Summary
Congratulatory telegrams and correspondence. Of interest, a thank you note (TLS) from Carter, provisional invitations to appear on Issues and Answers, Meet the Press, and Face the Nation, a letter (TLS) from a retired naval officer promoting airships and flying boats, cable traffic from Asia quoting Warnke. Finally, as late as Jan 14, 1977 Warnke writes "I have, however, for personal reasons asked that my name not be considered for an appointment in the Carter administration at this time." A manuscript list of names for cabinet and other offices and notes on factors to be considered in choosing.
