Container Summary

A selection of material on the Nixon era. Of note, a reprint of a NY Times Magazine article, "Nixon the Summiteer" sent with his card by George W. Ball. Melvin Laird's final report to Congress with Clark Clifford's note "Keep this in a file. We may need it sometime." Legal memos on nominating to fill a vacant vice-presidency and constitutionality of a special prosecutor. A proposal by Boston Mayor Kevin H. White to provide for a special election to fill a vacant presidency. Two DNC publications: "Let us Then Elevate the Rhetoric", quotes of Spiro T. Agnew; "Bringing Us Apart, the Nixon Administration."
