Container Summary
Correspondence among lawyers about 1972 Democratic candidates. In particular a letter (TLS) from Joseph D. Tydings to Clark Clifford seeking names for a national committee of "Lawyers to Draft Muskie." Clifford passed the letter to Warnke with pencilled annotation, "Can we suggest names to him." Also included a list of lawyers in Warnke's hand and, coincidentally, a solicitation to Warnke from lawyers favoring Birch Bayh.
