Container Summary
The earliest involvement of Warnke in the Muskie campaign begins with a letter (XER) from Donald E. Nicoll to Clark M. Clifford and Clifford's note "Paul- See me on this when you have time." A mimeo from Nicoll on which Warnke is a typed addition to the distribution poses organizational needs and Warnke offers some ideas. By June of 1970, Clifford and Warnke are identified in the Washingtonian as advisors and in July Warnke is interviewed by Susan Sheehen (ALS) for the New Yorker. Copies of some of Muskie's press releases and speeches.
