Container Summary

Speeches and correspondence developing Humphrey's position on defense related issues. An initial letter (TLS) to Warnke asking for advice and naming Robert Hunter as his representative. A meeting report and a draft copy from Hunter edited lightly in Warnke's hand. Other drafts and releases of speeches. Finally a note from Humphrey enclosing a copy of his announcement as a candidate for the Presidency.
