Letters to Warnke and copies of his own. A complimentary note to Shireen T. Hunter for her LA Times op-ed and her decade of warnings "...about Saddam Hussein's dangerous ambitions." Thanks to Philip M. Kaiser for an advance look at his chapter on Harriman as governor with reference to Franklin Roosevelt, Jr. and Pat Moynihan. A letter (ALS) from Noel Gaylor expressing concern with dispersal of the nuclear arsenal of the disintegrating Soviet Union. Warnke recalls the task force that advised Lyndon Johnson on post-Tet reinforcement as his most vivid DOD memory. Robert McNamara's Christmas letter.
