Container Summary
Materials relating to an op-ed for the NY Times including a draft (by Betsy Reid?) extensively edited in Warnke's hand and a note that Bob Semple of the NY Times liked the piece. A photocopy of the piece as run is radically different from the edited draft. It says "The disclosure yesterday..." indicating a later rewrite. A congratulatory note from Thomas J. Watson, Jr (ALS) and a copy of Warnke's response citing his fondness for the "Trollope ploy" and commenting disparagingly on "Caspar Weinberger's article in the current issue of Foreign Affairs...".
