1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 5/31/1869 from Peter J. Sullivan to U.S. Secretary of State Hamilton Fish, indicating that Esturgeo Salgar (not Mosquera) is the new President of Colombia, a revolution is possible in Colombia, and Panama seeks to secede from Colombia. Sullivan mentions that General Mosquera has opposed a canal to be built at Darien by the Americans and supported a canal built by England. Sent from Bogota, Colombia to Washington, D.C.
