1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 1/2/1872 from Peter J. Sullivan to U.S. Senator Simon Cameron, regarding Sullivan's publishing of an article concerning prominent Senators and Congressmen whom Sullivan met in the 1840s. Sullivan asks specific biographical questions of Cameron to facilitate the publication of the article. Sullivan also notes that he is writing a history of the U.S. Legation in Bogota, Colombia and that he concluded the Darien ship canal on his own without assistance from Caleb Cushing. Sent from Cincinnati, Ohio to Washington, D.C.
