Language of materials note
Although most of the collection is in English, the Rentz Papers contain a substantial number of Arabic-language documents, including the propaganda material printed by the Palestinian Liberation Organization in the 1960s and letters from Saudi officials.
Conditions Governing Access
Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.

Swain entitled "Political Talk Steals the Show at Cairo" from "The Oil and Gas Journal", discussing the outcome of the first Arab Oil Congress, the conflict between Western oil companies like Aramco and Arab interests who want larger profit cuts, and outlining the proposals made by participants for new projects such as an Arab-owned pipeline. Contains black-and-white images of the Aramco/Trans-Arabian Pipeline Co. exhibit in Cairo, Sheikh Abdullah Tariki, Director of Petroleum Affairs for the Saudi government, John Noble, president of Trans-Arabian Pipeline Co., and George and Sophie Rentz.
