Language of materials note
Although most of the collection is in English, the Rentz Papers contain a substantial number of Arabic-language documents, including the propaganda material printed by the Palestinian Liberation Organization in the 1960s and letters from Saudi officials.
Conditions Governing Access
Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. Collections stored off site require a minimum of three days for retrieval. For use of all manuscripts collections, researchers are advised to contact the Booth Family Center for Special Collections in advance of any visit.

Reference to the French Mandate over Syria. Sent from Aleppo, Syria. Found in the Photograph collection of George S. Rentz, Jr. Also, 1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 1937 from an unknown Aleppo student to George S. Rentz, Jr., discussing his fear of being drafted during Syria's fight for independence, his flight to Beirut, and his excitement at Rentz's imminent arrival in Syria. Reference to the Syrian Treaty of Independence with France of 1936. Sent from Aleppo, Syria. Found in the Photograph collection of George S. Rentz, Jr. And 1 Envelope inscribed "Aleppo 1932".
