Container Summary

Napoleon I. Document Signed (in French) from Major General Prince de Neuchatel to Mr. le M'alo duc de Ragase, 1 page. Dated 10/6/1809. Regarding a vacant position as aide-de-camp to Ragase and requesting that Napoleon I fill the position with Captain of Artillery Favier. In the left margin, Napoleon wrote "L'on ne prend pas dans ma garde," and he signed the document. Signed by Napoleon I, who wrote in the left margin Paper has Emperor Napoleon water mark. Gift of Thierry van Essche, 2004.
