He was born in 1859, and created a Cardinal in 1919." The Caption for the second photo: "Cardinal Archbishop Bertram of Breslau, head of the Presidium of the Roman Catholic Episcopate which drafted the message read from the pulpits of most of the Catholic churches in Germany Sunday that complained strongly over alleged Nazi party interference with the church's rights."
