Scope and Contents
The Joseph E. Jeffs Papers contain correspondence between the former University Librarian at Georgetown University, Joseph E. Jeffs, and a number of scholars and writers. Among the significant individuals with whom Jeffs kept in contact are Ambassador William H. Taft, III, writer Yvonne Cloetta, and author Graham Greene. There are also letters in the collection from Norman Mailer and Anthony Thwaite, as well as a collection of newspaper clippings on Graham Greene. Jeffs also collected numerous quotes written by various authors from their own works.
