1 Typed Letter Signed dated 9/24/1976 from U.S. Senator Adlai Stevenson to Richard M. Helms, inviting him to meet in Washington, D.C. Stevenson has recently been appointed to the Intelligence Committee and is also Chairman of the Subcommittee on Collection, Production, and Quality of Intelligence. Stevenson states that the committee's role is not necessarily in conflict with the intelligence community. Also, in reply, 1 Typed Letter (carbon) dated 10/4/1976 from Helms to Stevenson, thanking him for the letter of 9/24/1976 and expressing appreciation that Stevenson seeks to provide America with better intelligence.
