Also, 1 Typed Letter Signed dated 12/29/1972 from President Richard M. Nixon to Richard M. Helms, suggesting that Helms speak with John Connally regarding Connally's visit to Saudi Arabia and Algeria and that Helms undertake an analysis of the Middle East oil situation. Nixon also foresees an energy crisis and comments on the instability of Middle East nations. Sent from the White House on White House stationery.
