Reference to Hazzard's book, "Countenance of Truth" (1989, 1990), expressing his view of the ineffectiveness of the United Nations in relation to such problems as the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Reference also to sadness at having to sell the Rosaio, his house in Capri.
