The Foreign Affairs Oral History Project transcripts and audio tapes have been returned to the Association for Diplomatic Study and Training in Arlington, Virginia.
Most manuscripts collections at the Georgetown University Booth Family Center for Special Collections are open to researchers; however, restrictions may apply to some collections. 1 TM's FAOH (Foreign Service Spouse Oral History). Contains an interview of Marvin (Mary) Breckinridge Patterson conducted by Jewell Fenzi. This interview documents the life of a photographer, filmmaker, broadcaster, Foreign Service wife, and philanthropist from the years of 1939-1986. It contains information about her posts in Berlin, Germany (1940-41); Brussels, Belgium (1945-46); Cairo, Egypt(1946-50); Athens, Greece (1950-52); Montevideo, Uruguay (1956-58). The bulk of the Oral History is relating to Mrs. Patterson's time in Berlin, Germany. The History also contains supplemental materials relating to other published work, and her education.
