Scope and Contents

1 Autographed Letter Signed (in French) dated August 5, 1950 from Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to Adrienne Croissant opens with Theilhard's decision to go to L'Auvergne with his brother. He is writing a clandestine piece on the two forms of the spirit: Spirit of Identification and the Spirit of Unification. He also requested Trorres-Bodet to change the definition of UNESCO from "equality of the races" to "complementarity of the races." His overall theme is a change in the perception of God.
