Cleveland to the Charleston County (S.C.) Court of Common Pleas, representing a replevin complaint by the Charleston Library Society against Mitchell, Christie's, and the Post & Courier Foundation for possession of a 1776 newspaper; 1 Typed Manuscript Signed dated 09/05/2000 from Lewis A. Kaplan, U.S. District Court judge, to Mitchell, the Charleston Library Society, Christie's, and W. Graham Arader, representing a restraining order and injunction in the replevin case; 1 Typed Manuscript Signed dated 09/20/2000 from Kaplan to Mitchell, Charleston Library Society, and Christie's, formalizing the injunction; and 1 Typed Manuscript Signed dated 10/18/2000 from Kaplan to Mitchell and the Charleston Library Society, refusing to relinquish his jurisdiction in the case to South Carolina or to dismiss a complaint filed by the society.
