McCrimmon to Henry Bartholomew Cox, asking Cox to write a statement about final passage of a bill granting the federal government ownership of presidential papers. Included with this Card is a Typed Manuscript describing enactment of the "Presidential Papers Act of 1978," suggesting the manuscript was written after the bill was enacted into law on 11/04/1978. The law is also referred to as the Presidential Records Act of 1978.
