1 Typed Letter dated 10/12/1978 from Richard Maass to Donald Sang, referencing a letter from Barbara S. McCrimmon, president of the Manuscript Society, outlining the society's position toward the sale of a John Penn letter to Malcolm Forbes. The sale was intended to trigger a replevin action and lawsuit that Forbes and others hoped would invalidate the West ruling. Attached to this Letter is a Typed Letter Signed dated 10/09/1978 from Barbara S. McCrimmon to Sang and Maass, explaining the position by the Manuscript Society toward replevin following the West case.
