West's response includes a description of the position of various parties on the possibility of appealing the West case to the Supreme Court of the United States. West also suggests Henry Bartholomew Cox could discuss legal points of the case with Arthur G. Lambert. This letter contains handwritten comments from B.C. West, Jr., to Henry Bartholomew Cox describing Howe's interest in the case and West's feelings about possible conflicts among organizations for an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
