Includes his early life in Czechoslovakia; his experiences in World War II; with the Office of International Finance at the Treasury Department, 1950-51; with the Department of Agriculture, 1951-91; as Assistant Agricultural Attache, in Bonn, Germany, 1959-64; with the U.S. Mission to EEC in Brussels, Belgium, 1964; as Head of the U.S. Trade Delegation and Agricultural Attache at the U.S. mission in Geneva, Switzerland; at the Department of Agriculture as Deputy assistant administrator for international trade; as Agricultural counselor in Paris, France, 1987; and with FAS in Washington, D.C., 1987-1990.
