Manning, Henry Edward. Cardinal, Archbishop of Westminster. Autograph Letter Signed (as Archdeacon of Chichester), to Rev. Charles Marriott, 3 pages. Dated 6/7/1847. Rev. Marriott was a prominent member of the Oxford Movement. This letter states that Manning's doctor suggests that he go abroad at once, and he expects to be in Italy by October. Gift of Joseph E. Jeffs and Jeannine L. Jeffs.
