Second item: an inscription (reproduction) from Bunau-Varilla to William Roscoe Thayer, presenting the book "Panama" [by Bunau-Varilla] to Thayer. Third item: Autograph Letter Signed dated 7/11/1919 from W.S. Thayer to William Roscoe Thayer, introducing Bunau-Varilla. Fourth item: Autograph letter Signed dated 7/19/1919 from Bunau-Varilla to William Roscoe Thayer, making reference to Theodore Roosevelt considering the Panama Canal his finest achievement; sent from Paris.
