Container Summary

Non-operational documents from Warnke's service. Of greatest interest is a roster of members of the Armed Services Committee that Warnke was assigned to notify by telephone of the Nov 1968 Vietnam bombing halt. Attached is a report of his experience of each of the calls. Also Warnke's announcement of his detail of Leslie Gelb as an Acting Asst Secretary, lists of the incoming Nixon appointees, and a preliminary agenda for a Rand Corporation interview that Secretary of Defense Clifford wanted Warnke to review before the meeting.
