1 Autographed Letter Signed dated 04/25/1880 from Julian Hawthorne to Francis Bennoch relating details of a fire in his nursery which had been reported in newspapers. He informs Bennoch that his wife carried his sons John ("Frank") and Henry to safety and that no one was badly hurt, although he remains concerned for his wife's health. Reference to May ("Minne") Hawthorne, John Francis Bennoch Hawthorne, and Henry Amelung Hawthorne. Sent from St. John's Wood, London, England.
