1 Autographed Letter Signed dated 08/07/1879 from Julian Hawthorne to Francis Bennoch informing him of another demand for payment leveled against him and of two more books offered for publication, including a cheap version of "Garth", and expressing his frustration at Alexander Strahan for not responding to these offers. He mentions that his brother-in-law, John Amelung, expects to send him money derived from the appreciation of his property in Chicago. Reference to "Yellow-Cap and Other Fairy Tales". Sent from Hastings, England.
