Container Summary
1 Autographed Letter Signed dated 05/20/1878 from Julian Hawthorne to Francis Bennoch informing him that he has incurred another debt after attempting to draw on money from William G. Peckham, who subsequently refused payment. He recounts the advice of a barrister to take out another life insurance policy in order to draw money on it and asks Bennoch for advice in this regard. Hawthorne notes that his first short novel is nearly finished as well as a comedy for which critics predict success. Reference to Mr. Bowles, and Gillig's American Exchange. Sent from Way's End, Twickenham, England.
