1 Autographed Letter Signed dated 01/24/1878 from Julian Hawthorne to Francis Bennoch written on black-bordered mourning paper mentioning an "Envoi" originally enclosed with the letter addressed to Hill & Co. and giving Bennoch permission to censor anything "actionable" that might be in it. He describes his improved mood, that he can eat and sleep again, and thanks Bennoch for his help. Reference to Mr. Nathan, Mrs. Bennoch, James Martin, and life insurance. Sent from Way's End, Twickenham, England.
