1 Autographed Letter Signed dated 01/06/1878 from Julian Hawthorne to Francis Bennoch written on black-bordered mourning paper expressing the distress he experiences in finding no course of action he can take to prevent the auction of his possessions. He also expresses his annoyance that Mr. Hill, presumably a lawyer for George McCorquodale, will not consider a personal guarantee from Bennoch. He wishes Mrs. Bennoch improved health and thanks Bennoch for sending a telegram for him. Sent from Way's End, Twickenham, England.
