The majority of these manuscripts were stored together in a folder which Greene labeled 'Literary.' The manuscripts include letters written to newspapers for publication, notes, reviews, two Prefaces, and a speech. The manuscripts are arranged in their original order. The last 3 manuscripts of the series were not originally stored with the others.

AM of Out of the Dustbin which begins, "All novelists, I suppose, have a box of rejected ideas." 4 sheets. Also includes a photocopy of the published essay on pages 77-80. Out of the Dustbin includes three fragments: The first beings "Charles Painter was not in the true sense of the word a diarist," the second is "A Position in Life," and the third "Five Little Girls."
