3 ALS from Michael Richey to his parents. 1 ALS 8/19/1941 from Royal Naval Base, Aberdeen. Reference to Paul Richey. 1 ALS 9/2/1941 from the F.S. Roselys. Reference to Alexander Hall. 1 ALS 10/12/1941 Reference to Harry Beazley. *From Richey's notes: "F.S. (French Ship) Roselys, to which I was appointed British Naval Laison Officer, was a corvette manned by the Forces Navales de la France Libre working under British Naval Command. We commissioned the ship at John Lewis's yard in Aberdeen and subsequently sailed round to Tobermory on the West Coast of Scotland to work the ship up under the indomitable and universally feared but loved Commodore Stevenson. The captain was Capitaine de Vaisseau Bergeret. Harry Beazley, a school friend whose brother Peter became a Downside monk. Harry ended up as chairman of P & O shipping lines."
