Container Summary
1 ALS from HRH Prince Philip to Michael Richey regarding traffic separation in the English Channel. *According to Richey's notes: "A correspondence, starting November 17, 1971, with the Duke of Edinburgh on the subject of traffic separation in the Dover Strait. The immediate background was a meeting held at Buckingham Palace, with Prince Philip in the chair, to discuss disagreements between Trinity House, of which he was Master, and the Royal Institute of Navigation of which he was Patron, on the subject of traffic separation in the English Channel. There was no agreement at the meeting but later, at his suggestion, I took the matter up with him in correspondence."
