1 Autograph Letter Signed dated 12/17/1860 from William M. Boyce to Joseph P. Orme describing a "camp hunt" he had just returned from and commenting on the state of the nation with reference to Stephen A. Douglas. He writes "I am for unity and peace but the issue has been made, not by the South, but by the North, and we must meet it bravely. My interests are with the South and I will stand by her in this her hour of misfortune and danger."
