This collection contains the research and subject files, interview tapes, including transcripts, and related material of the noted writer and journalist Larry Collins. Included in this collection are the materials for Collins' five collaborative works with French journalist and writer Dominique Lapierre, as well as the three novels he authored alone. The collection has been arranged chronologically according to the dates of publication for his works. The collectins holds material related to all of Collins' nine books, excluding his compilations of Lord Louis Mountbatten's papers.

Contains copies of the transcripts for the two interviews conducted by Larry Collins with Bob Nieves, an agent with the Drug Enforcement Agency who served as an attache in Costa Rica, San Jose, during his research for the investigative novel Black Eagles (1995), regarding his knowledge of the U.S.-backed Contra operation, accusations of Noriega's involvement with the drug trade, and the disappearance and murder of Spadafora.
