Scope and Contents
This collection contains the research and subject files, interview tapes, including transcripts, and related material of the noted writer and journalist Larry Collins. Included in this collection are the materials for Collins' five collaborative works with French journalist and writer Dominique Lapierre, as well as the three novels he authored alone. The collection has been arranged chronologically according to the dates of publication for his works. The collectins holds material related to all of Collins' nine books, excluding his compilations of Lord Louis Mountbatten's papers.

Container Summary
Contains volume 6 of the typed notes compiled by Larry Collins, Dominique Lapierre and their staff from their research on the period of upheaval that followed Indian independence in August 1947. The notes came from their work with the records of the notes of the Emergency Committee that was established to deal with the Punjab crisis from the first meeting at Government House, New Delhi, on September 6, 1947, to the final meeting on November 28, 1947, in chronological order.
