Container Summary

Autograph letter signed from Alexander Tremaine Wright to William J. Carlton. Wright offers advice to Carlton on how to continue with his work despite the "serious unsettling and debilitating effect" the World War can have on one's work. He finds it "very undesirable to take a dose of bad news with my breakfast and usually deferred [...] reading until I was quiet at home after the day's duties has ended." Offers insight into the politics of World War I and expresses concern for Dr. Christian Johnen in Germany.
