Autograph letter signed from Alexander Tremaine Wright to William J. Carlton dated September 5, 1912. Wright describes a trip to the Bodleian Library, Oxford, where while accompanying a friend, he discovered a small unidentified shorthand manuscript from before 1674. Reference to George Carl Mares' financial difficulties, books by Thompson Cooper, and a Mr. McCaskie.
