From the Series:

This series is composed of Bulkey Southworth Griffin's Journal from 1922 and personal materials, a photo with the Springfield Republican staff, his driver's license from 1927 and several inaugural invitations.The Date Book consists of political commentary, primarily Griffin's thoughts on individual politicians and assorted policy initiatives.

Printed letter from George Butler Griffin to the descendants of Jasper Griffin dated July 16, 1883 regarding the recent printing of a "Genealogy of the descendants of Jasper Griffin" dated July 16, 1883. Typed letter signed from Justus A. Griffin to Griffin & Kidner Printers of Hamilton, Ontario dated September 19, 1889 requesting additional Griffin family genealogical materials. Two typed letters signed from Jerome A. Ringrose, Genealogical Researcher in London, to an unnamed member of the Griffin family dated November 12, 1911 and June 25, 1913 regarding the family's genealogy. Autograph letter signed from Duane N. Griffin to Solomon B. Griffin dated June 22, 1915 discussing their potentially common ancestors. Typed letter from E.Adams & Co. to Mrs. L. B. Griffin dated December 5, 1905 regarding the omission of a "Southworth Genealogy" chart left out of a book. Autograph letter signed from Hubbard Clerckland to a Mr. griffin dated June 7, 1897 describing Hannah Griffin's tomb and the recutting of its letters. One autograph letter signed from Francis E.G. Stephens to S.B. Griffin from december 30, 1912. The letter contains descriptions of the renovations made to the old family farmhouse in Quogue and the 2 photos that Mrs. Stephens took the previous summer.
