Correspondence dated 1867-1986 mostly between Richard D. Mudd and Rebecca D. Hepburn. Included are 2 Autograph Letters Signed (along with typed transcripts) dated 1867 from M.R. Smith of Uniontown, District of Columbia, to William B. Jackson (Hepburn's grandfather), of Goresville, Loudoun County, Virginia, about the death of Smith's son and with mention of Samuel A. Mudd's work among prisoners and troops at Tortugas.
